AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT - Roger "Skip" Ohman, PE

Mr. Ohman is best known for the initial development of The Crosby Group's Training Programs that are taught and enjoyed around the world. An MBA, Master of Adult Education, and PE in Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Ohman has had an incredible career backed by significant education, including three years in the US Army (Lt. retired). He has also contributed to the ASME, the American Society of Training & Development, ACRP, and many other industry groups in his effort to elevate and help the industry.

In Skip’s own words, “I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to experience and use training as a key element in my careers in the rigging and lifting industry. Training is an important part of my own development, but more significantly, training of others has always been a tool for successfully accomplishing the job mission.”

Keeping a busy schedule, he has worked with Industrial Training International, providing instruction for their online course Rigging & Load Handling Equipment Engineering & Applications program. He has been instrumental in developing the Model Rigging Training Kit, and has recently updated and revised his Risk Management & Rigging the Load PowerPoint training program.
