Course Subjects & Learning Objectives
Rigging Introduction
The trainee will become familiar with basic rigging terms, rigging gear capacity & and use, and identify load control methods with various sling hitches.
Rigging Inspection
The trainee will be able to recognize and evaluate field-damaged rigging gear samples according to the guidelines established by recognized industry standards.
Rigging Selection
The trainee will be able to select slings and rigging hardware based on the anticipated loading and rigging method.

Load Handling Activities
The trainee will be familiar with recognizing common load handling hazards, blocking practices, crane hand signals, and path of travel; as well as an introduction to completing a standard lift plan.
